Academy Award-Winners Ethan & Joel Coen are it again, this time with their remake of the 1969 western film, True Grit. The film, starring Academy Award-Winner Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart), Matt Damon and Josh Brolin, follows the story of a young and stubborn girl on the hunt for her father's murderer. The lead female, played by Hailee Steinfeld, teams up with the meanest and toughest Marshall Cogburn (Bridges) and a Texas Ranger (Damon), in order to being justice to the one who took her father's life. This film reunites Bridges with the Coen brothers for the first time since their 1998 "cult classic", The Big Lebowski. That film arguably made Bridges that Oscar winner he is today, and his role in True Grit should only further the actor's credentials. The project, currently in its post-production phase, was filmed in Texas and is set to be released just before Christmas. Yesterday TFK brought the first images of the film, which means that the trailer shouldn't be too far down the road. If you love the Coen brother films as much as I do, then there is no question that you should be lining up to see this film, come December 25th.
